Carbon dioxide gas has no residue after extinguishing the fire, will not cause damage to protected items, and will not destroy the atmospheric ozone layer. Moreover, it has a wide range of sources and low prices, and is widely used in the protection of archives and other precious data rooms, power distribution rooms and other closed spaces.

According to the storage pressure, it can be divided into high pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system and low pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system.

The storage pressure of high-pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system is 5.7Mpa, the working temperature range is 0~50℃, and the storage volume of fire extinguishing agent is 70L, which can be used for both total flooding protection and partial flooding protection. The storage of carbon dioxide fire extinguishing agent in the high-pressure system does not need to be equipped with a refrigeration and heat preservation system, and there is no daily operation energy consumption, and the management and maintenance are relatively simple.

The low-pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system has a storage pressure of 2.1Mpa and a working temperature range of -20 to -18°C. Generally, it is only used for total flood protection. Although the low-pressure system can store a large amount of fire extinguishing agent, the storage needs to be equipped with a refrigeration and heat preservation system, which has daily energy consumption, inconvenient management and complicated maintenance.
